Got an ender 3 S1 pro, did the calibration, e steps, pid tune, manual level then auto level, added the g29 line in cura for mesh bed leveling. For the life of me I can’t get one straight print out of this thing, it’s driving me nuts. Help?
finally received the parts and managed to install the PID, made the 2 SSR mod too!
oh boy, steam power improved drastically, milk got a really silky texture with no problems and also tasted the espresso, not harsh at all and at a great temperature with no more surfing!! my classic feeling like a new machine again a lot of testing coming up 🤩🤩
How important is temp surfing or PID at my stage in the espresso journey?
Just ordered a GCP. Please excuse the novice post title. I'm new to this sub and fairly new to brewing espresso drinks correctly. So, I'm not super knowledgeable regarding what a good balanced shot should taste like. I prefer and serve mainly milk drinks, but like to imbibe an espresso shot now and again. I'm using a dark roast that is roasted locally and ground with a 1zpresso JX-Pro. I know that I would eventually like to modify my machine, most likely go the Gaggiuino route in the future. However, I'd like to wait to be outside the warranty period (2 years) before doing a PID or Gaggiuino mod. I'll be doing the 9 bar spring mod right away, but that's only because it's low risk and I can easily change back to the factory spring if I ever need to invoke the warranty. All that being said, with my experience level and bean/drink preferences how important will temp control be for me at the present time? And what is the relevance of temp control when brewing dark roasts. In other words, how much should I be worrying about all this at this stage in my espresso journey?
E1 error. I tried pid tuning and when it didn’t help then i replaced my thermistor with a brand new one and that didn’t help either so i tried pid tuning again because I changed the thermistor and that didn’t help.
Nothing fancy, but my first setup - Gaggia Classic Pro with the PID and OPV mod, walnut wood steam knob, and bottomless portafilter with walnut wood handle!
I'm looking at that or the Lelit Elizabeth. The Lizzy would require longer warm up but reading through some of this sub I feel like build quality may be better, too. The OPV issues make no sense to me but maybe it's not as big of a deal as I'm making it out to be?
What I have going on in my microcontroller I have a feeling I need to use a PID to control my jets, as they dont respond to any throttle, and actually instead slowly decrease in RPS. My use is in a VTOL plane, which is why it has separate throttle outputs. The MC doesnt have any tilt/altitude sensor inputs yet as I just want the jets to work.

[Ascaso Steel DUO PID] Help! Unable to adjust the pressure to 9 bars
Hi All, I recently purchased an Ascaso Steel DUO PID a month ago and have been going back and forth with support. Initially, I sent my machine back for repair as I was unable to adjust the pressure. I would tighten and loosen the OPV screw, but the pressure continues to remain very high (> 14 bars). I recently got it back and I am still seeing the same issue. They told me the issue was that the sealing ball needed some adjustments to get unstuck. However, I am still facing the same issue and support keeps telling me that I need to keep playing with it... The lowest pressure I can reach is around 13-14 bars and this is with a very loose OPV screw to the point where water drips and can fall out if I loosen it further. If I were to tighten the screw, it would go above 16 bars. Has anyone run into this situation and had some kind of tips? or if I am completely adjusting it incorrectly?
