The U.S. dollar made a huge reversal lower on the daily charts Weds. Made a new, life of contract high and then closed below the previous TWO days low!! This is a big deal!!!
The U.S. dollar made a huge reversal down on Weds. As the U.S. dollar goes up, it applies downward pressure on the gold/silver market. As the dollar declines, it provides lift to gold and silver prices. U.S. dollar traded at a new life of contract high Weds, and then closed below both Mondays and Tuesday's low. This is a big deal! It has been the rising dollar that has held metal prices in the U.S. lower, while in some other countries, the price of gold and silver are making multi-year highs. I always thought fib retracement is made with highs and lows (left chart). However, an article (linked in comment) made me question that. It uses the highest and lowest closings instead, and yesterday's S&P500 price action seems to support that method as price on the left chart bounced off .618 fib
Cooler Ranch (CR) or Nacho Cheesier (NC). I have two wedges on this chart with CR being highest highs and lowest lows. There's also a wedge with the lowest opens and highest closes (NC). On this daily chart there's a strong resistance on the Nacho Cheesier trendline. This dip is healthy.

For stock opening and closing are 9:30 and 4:30. (Don't remember exactly) The candle's opening and closing are just those time. But for Forex, is it 12-12?

PSA: Today’s volume (excluding after hours) was a hair under 3 million. Guessing the low volume guy will ignore the closing candle of ~112k and report the volume as 2,877,314 (and everyone will be confused when the number changes in the chart on the next low volume day!)
